The Glock 42 is the smallest possible GLOCK with ultra-compact dimensions and easy-to-shoot features. It features the Glock Safe Action system, which provides a consistent trigger pull from the first round to the last. The three independently operating automatic mechanical safeties are incorporated into the gun's fire control system. All three safeties disengage sequentially as the trigger is pulled and automatically respond when the trigger is released. The frame is polymer with hardened steel guides. It has an ideal grip angle and low weight. The slide stop lever and magazine catch are easy to operate with the firing hand. Advanced blade surface treatment results in optimum hardness by greatly reducing wear and makes it corrosion resistant, even when operating in saltwater conditions. I bought mine at the end of the first year it came out and have had No problems with it I wear suits most of the time and I can carry mine in an Uncle Mike pocket inside a jacket pocket or in a Vedder tuckable IWB (attachment) without anyone noticing.
This gun has very low recoil. My kids 9-12 shoot this at the airport with me and they have no problem shooting it. My oldest shoots the G26 and G23/G19 (I have a converted barrel...thanks!) and enjoys shooting the G42 because of the lower recoil.
I don't like the trigger on this one, which is why I get the 3.5lbs connector to alleviate the long pull with the hard break. Maybe it's the size and weight of the gun, but the trigger seems to feel like it has a longer pull and the break is "hard" to get past.

This is the first Glock I ever bought and I have no regrets! It was recommended to me by a friend of mind. He said I should get either a 42 or 43. I chose the 42 for compactness and ease of concealment. Hopefully we'll get 43 in the end. I traded my Taurus 738 for this gun. I had so many problems with jams with it. You don't have this problem with the Glock. I look forward to putting more rounds through it on the field.
PLUS fun to film. I had a Ruger LC9s, hook for wrist and thumb (arthritis and badly repaired dislocated thumb), same as G43 son...dual stack doesn't work for thumb (G26). .. the best of all worlds for me. Small, light, easy to shoot (accurate!), VERY effective with "real" ammo (I like the Lehigh Xtreme defender)...reliable, typical Glock quality ..excellent!
Beginner and I love to shoot. Glock 19 is my original, bought in 2014, learning to handle, clean, etc. The most use has been in the last 4 weeks since I signed up for a concealed weapons permit and I want to pass the shooting part as well. It seems like it should be easy. But as the class got closer, I realized I didn't want to carry such a big gun. I love my Baby Glock! It's cute, but don't let the "cuteness" fool you! The gun is packing! There is no noticeable aftertaste for me, but the firing is a bit of a surprise as there is MUCH MORE gun to absorb the fireworks! I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I'm using the Glock 19 for the test session. LOL
