Air Show Fighter Jets - The Canadian International Air Show returns to the skies above Toronto this Labor Day weekend, bringing with it a whole fleet of military fighter jets doing terrible things for our apparent entertainment.
Of course, if you live in the city, you don't need me to tell you that - you can hear said planes screeching and screeching periodically outside while you're trying to enjoy a beautiful Friday afternoon.

The show is scheduled to take place, as usual, along the waterfront from noon to 3 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.
And yet, cats and dogs all over town are shaking in terror right now thanks to rehearsals that are just a little bit longer and just as loud as this weekend's headline show.

The air show and the rehearsals for it are annoying and disruptive to people trying to work or have sleeping babies or whatever, but the ritual display of Canadian and US military aircraft is more problematic than many of its longtime fans realize.
